We started this unique experiment with WordCamp India almost 2 weeks ago with Workshop Days. The Workshops were held in multiple local Indian languages. Last weekend, we had the Contributor Day weekend. On both days, several new folks discovered the various ways, one can contribute to the software that runs 40% of the web.
This weekend we Speaker Session which are often the more regular feature of WordCamps.
To participate in the WordCamp India 2021 contributor day (Feb 6-7, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST), get your (free) ticket (in case you haven’t done so already) and fill up this team selection form. We will share more details later this week.
Attending a contributor day is a chance for attendees to contribute to WordPress, collaborate with new and existing contributors, and learn about the different ways to get involved in the WordPress.org project.
Contributor Day is for everyone. A variety of skills are needed, and all skills and levels of experience are welcome.
Contributor Day for WordCamp India 2021, will be held on 6th and 7th February 2021 at 1pm to 5pm IST (7:30 am to 11:30 am UTC).
It will be held online via Zoom.

You do not need to be a programmer or designer yet to contribute to WordPress.
The WordPress project is made up of a number of teams working on areas from code to design, from marketing to community building and more. Look at all the teams here.
The single WordCamp India ticket will cover links and information for three weekends of WordCamp India 2021. All our tickets are free!

Before the event day, you will receive an email with all the information you will need to take part, including links to the Slack channels and Zoom meetings for each team.

A WordPress contributor event is not like a job interview or workplace and does not have the associated pressure. It is a friendly and supportive environment, with a shared vision to develop and maintain the WordPress open-source project.
All levels of experience and expertise across a range of areas – including but not only development – are essential for diversifying open source projects. It is the best way to ensure WordPress is useful to as many people as possible and can be used by everyone.

We are happy to announce the list of workshops that will be conducted on WordCamp India’s Workshop Days. These workshops will be held on the 30th and 31st of January 2021.
All the workshops will be 40 mins in length followed by a 15 mins Q&A session.
