Speakers

Here are some of the speakers who are going to present sessions at India’s first WordPress camp!

Aditya Mukherjee – He has been web-teching since ‘04, when he got his second ever computer. His blogging days started with Blogger in ‘05, and after coming up with many blogger-hacks, finally made the jump to WordPress in ‘07, for which he has written three plugins. He loves all things design, functional and simple. Currently one of the core developers of Filttr, he is working as a software architect for RH Presence, Racked Hosting LLC.

Abhijeet Mukherjee – Abhijeet Mukherjee is a 24 year old internet entrepreneur from India. His interests include blogging, internet marketing and social media. He writes at Jeet Blog and has also written for some of the most well known blogs on the internet.

Amit Agarwal -Amit Agarwal is a professional blogger and personal technology columnist for a national newspaper. Digital Inspiration won the Best Technology Blog award at Indibloggies 2006 and is also included in the prestigious “Blogs of Note” list compiled by the Blogger team at Google.

Narayanan Madhavan – Narayanan Madhavan has more than 25 years of experience in journalism. Though focused mainly on business and economic journalism with a strong exposure to information technology and the Internet, he has also covered or written on other issues including politics, diplomacy, cinema, culture, cricket and social issues.
He started his career as a trainee with the Times of India group, where he spent 7 years, mainly in Economic Times before moving to Business Standard, where as a Special Correspondent he covered the Finance Ministry, Planning Commission, parliament, corporate affairs and politics. He later joined Reuters, the world’s biggest news agency, where he spent about 12 years, the last four of which were spent in Bangalore. While at Reuters, he was Chief Technology Correspondent during the Internet boom and bust years of 1999 and 2000 and also travelled to the Silicon Valley to attend a workshop on Internet communities. At Reuters, he also covered the Kargil War, elections, the Pokhran nuclear tests and economic reforms.

He left Reuters in 2006 and after a brief stint in the magazine division of Indian Express, joined Hindustan Times two years ago where he is Associate Editor. He was managing the paper’s technology page which intensively covered issues related to Web 2.0 and blogs, besides continuing his blog on media issues that covered related matters.
Madhavan has an honours degree in economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi and a master’s degree in political science from the University of Delhi.

Pavan Duggal – Pavan is a regular on the lecture circuit. He has spoken at over 900 conferences, seminars and workshops in the last seven years, and has lectured extensively in select law colleges. As a writer, he has made his mark with six books on various aspects of the law in the last six years. He has contributed a continuing weekly column on diverse aspects of the law, titled ‘Brief Cases’ to the Economic Times, for the last seven years.
